About Chris Penny UG

Bugembe Umar aka Chris Penny UG hails from Kampala, Uganda.  He is a talented and versatile singer/songwriter, and up and coming producer who has been making waves in the local and regional East African music scene.

Chris has worked with a number of local and international artists, including Pupa Curly of Tuff Kruffy Entertainment on his recent singles “What A Gwaan” and “No Competitor.”  Some notable regional artists Chris has worked with include: Herbert Skills, Karole Kasita, and Queen Bella. He has released a number of  independent single projects over the years.

“Phenomenal Me” is Chris’ first single on Tuff Kruffy Entertainment label, distributed by Tuff Gong International, with plans of an EP in the near future. Chris Penny UG has also penned songs for Tuff Kruffy Entertainment as a studio in-house writer at J-Empire and Tuff Kruffy Recording Studios in Kampala, Uganda.
