YANG’s latest single and video “Goodbye Alibi” from Straight Up Records (Distributed by Tuff Gong International).is the last of five tracks recorded last July at Nu-Tone Recording in Oakland California with engineer Ben Hirschfield.  Turns out it’s one of the most heavy-hitting from that session. YANG had no idea until he started going through the raw tracks at the beginning of the mixing process last November. It showcases his group comprising himself on lead vocals and guitar, drummer Bradley Higbie and bassist Christina Liu in top form, letting it rip.

It may be the last recording of this particular lineup – it all depends on the other members. We’ll see! Maybe they’ll come round once the single’s released. There are no personal beefs! Just alternate projects taking precedence which is totally understandable. But here’s hoping for a reunion!

Either way this in-your-face song about homelessness in California will surely stand as a more-than-fitting testament to the several months these musicians spent playing together both on and off stage.

There’s also a music video being released the same day as the single, March 29th, featuring footage of them playing the legendary punk gig 924 Gilman in Berkeley in May last year. Enjoy!
